WHEATNET-IP TO TAKE PART IN IP SHOWCASE, 2019 NAB 

Wheatstone joins more than 50 other manufacturers and organizations to demonstrate IP in radio and television at IP Showcase, Central Hall, booth C12634.

NEW BERN, NC, USA (April 5, 2019) – Wheatstone, a leader in IP audio networking, is partnering with more than 50 other manufacturers and organizations to demonstrate the real-world practicality of IP in both radio and television at the IP Showcase this upcoming NAB show.

Wheatstone makes the WheatNet-IP system, an AES67 compatible IP audio network designed specifically for broadcast that is in use by major U.S. and global broadcast operations.  

This widely used IP audio networking system will be part of the NAB IP Showcase in LVCC’s Central Hall, booth C12634, which is co-sponsored by AES, the Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), theAdvanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Video Services Forum (VSF). 

WheatNet-IP audio networking will demonstrate AES67 compatibility in an overall system based on SMPTE ST 2110, a standard that defines AES67 as the audio element in the transition to IP. 

In addition, Wheatstone’s Development Engineer Dominic Giambo will discuss tips for Implementing AES67 and ST 2110-30 in Your Plant at the IP Showcase on Tuesday of the show, April 9, at 9:30 am. 

WheatNet-IP audio networking will also be shown at a number of booths on the convention floor, demonstrating its compatibility with a variety of vendor partners and product, ranging from automation to codec systems.
